Bayview Doulas offers a wide variety of birth services from birth to postpartum support. We offer both in-person and virtual support services. Our job is to set you up for success when you bring your baby home.
No matter what your needs are, we will help set you on the right track to be the amazing and confident parent that you are.
What we provide:
- Non-judgemental support for you, your baby and your family
- How-tos for new parents (bathing, bottle-feeding)
- Baby care techniques (swaddling, burping, feeding)
- Care for mothers before, during and after birth
- Breastfeeding and lactation support
- Community resources

Nadine
Bayview Doulas was founded by Nadine Sowerby. Even before she became a doula, Nadine has always been the person that friends and family would call on for support when having babies. With two children of her own only 14 months apart, she knows how taxing those first few months can be and chose to become a doula because she wanted to help others make their parenting journey less stressful.
As a mother, I know first-hand how isolating and stressful it can be to bring home a newborn. My goal as a doula is to help make you feel confident in your parenting decisions and make your transition to parenting as seamless as possible.
Certified as a postpartum doula through ProDoula, a DONA certified labour doula, and certifying as a prenatal yoga instructor.

We support families of all types including LGBTQ+ families, single parents, adoptive parents, blended families, and people of all ethnicities and religions.
We are here to help support you and your choices around birth and childcare. Whether it’s helping you to advocate for your wishes in the hospital during the birth process or supporting you in your childcare decisions such as choosing to chest/breastfeed or not – we’re here to make you feel empowered.
